To optimize your work with the system and quickly get the information you need, you can connect an AI assistant to HURMA via an MCP client. This allows the agent to work directly with your internal data: candidates, vacancies, or employees.
To enable the tool and generate a link for the AI agent, follow these steps:
Go to the system settings, open the “For developers” section, and click the “Add” button and select the “MCP client” section;

Enter a connection name (any name, at least one character); the “Description” field is optional.

Information access settings: select the checkboxes for the data you allow the AI agent to read when generating responses. At least one checkbox must be selected to save the connection successfully.

Sensitive fields: you can grant access to some or all sensitive fields for employees and candidates, or select none.

Employee access: you must select the employees who will be granted access to this connection.

After saving, you will be able to see the created connection in the profile menu. You can create as many connections as needed and copy their URL (by clicking the connection name or opening the client settings) for further use in external agents.

In HURMA, you can track active connections. If you or other employees have successfully connected via an AI agent, the system will display the status "Connected".

To integrate HURMA with artificial intelligence, copy the URL of your MCP client by clicking the client name or your profile icon.

Click the profile menu and select “Settings” (Settings);

Go to the “Connectors” section, click the “Add” button, and select “Add custom connector”;

Enter any name (you can use the same name as in HURMA), paste the copied URL, and click “Add“.

Then follow these steps to connect successfully:
Click the profile menu and select “Settings”;

Go to “Plugins” - “Browse plugins”;

Click the “+” icon - “Create app“, enter a name, and paste the URL from your clipboard;

Go to “Plagins” and select “Connectors”;

Click “New connector” and be sure to select the “Custom” type;

Enter a name, paste the URL, click the “Attach connector” button, and wait a few seconds for the connection to be established.

Once connected, the assistant gets access to tools for reading and analyzing data in the following sections:
Candidates | Find and filter candidates; view profiles, experience, skills, and notes; group by status, source, or job opening |
Job openings | Get a list of vacancies by status; view details and pipeline stages; find vacanciea with no active candidates or a long time in a stage |
Employees | Search for employees and view their profiles, tenure, and reporting structure - within your access permissions |
Absences | View absence requests and approval statuses for a selected period |
Analytics | Get summaries and metrics for candidates, jobs, recruiters, and the funnel for quick analysis |
Initially, all tools work in read-only mode: the assistant finds, compares, and summarizes information, but does not edit or delete anything.
Not sure where to start? Just ask the assistant:
“How can you help me with HURMA?”
Below are examples of real prompts, grouped by task.
“How many open positions do we have?”
“How many candidates are under consideration for the Product Manager position?”
“Why did we reject Oksana Karpenko ([email protected])?”
“How many positions are currently assigned to each recruiter?”
“Give me a list of positions that have been open for more than 30 days.”
“Which candidate sourcing channels were the most effective in 2026?”
“Find all candidates who have worked with React and live in Poltava.”
“Which recruiter has the highest rejection rate after the technical interview?”
“Analyze how many employees resigned during their probationary period in 2023–2025, and show the ratio (%) compared to those who successfully completed it.”
“What is the average length of service of employees by team?”
“Prepare a list of questions for candidate Ivan ([email protected]) for the Product Manager position.”
“Show employees whose birthday is next month.”
“Show employees who completed their probationary period in May.”
“Give me a list of employees with more than 1 year and 6 months of service in the format: full name, length of service (years, months, days), link to their profile in HURMA.”
“Which employees will be absent next week?”
The assistant accesses current HURMA data and returns an answer immediately. The final decision always remains yours.
