Choosing the accrue time-off type

The HURMA system implements standard absence types that can be turned on/off and renamed.

Before starting the setup, choose the accrue time-off type in the system. Employee absences can be tracked either in working days or calendar days.

  • When absences are accounted for “In working days”, only absence days during working days will be deducted from employees' balances, while weekends and public holidays included in the schedule will not be deducted.

  • When absences are accounted for “In calendar days”, deductions are made for both working and non-working days, with only public holidays being excluded from deductions.

You can select the accrue time-off type on the "Settings" page — "General settings."

Activating absence types

Absence types can be configured on the "Settings" page — "Time-off" by setting the desired status using the toggle switch and clicking the "Save" button.

When an absence type is disabled, users will no longer be able to create requests of that type, but archived requests will remain in the system.

Changing the absence name

You can also change the name of absence types on the "Settings" page — "Time-off" by entering a new name in the field.
